I looked at it, and realized we were doing something very silly.
Normally, when a response comes back from the server, we fall back in
our polling to 2 seconds. This slow polling wasn't getting reset when
an interact control was updated, so interact controls effectively had a
polling interval of 2 seconds.
I've fixed it now, and decreased the normal polling interval to 250ms
(from 400ms) to match sagenb. Can you try it again?
